Fancy Garage Flooring

So many times when we think of home improvements we think of kitchen remodels or back yard makeovers. People rarely think of upgrading their garage to match the rest of their home upgrades.  Your garage door floor most likely is the most warn down part of your home. If you take a peek out into your garage and you see oil stains, tire marks, and scuffs on the floor, we have some great solution for you.

Choosing to paint your garage floor will not only enhance the whole look of your garage, but with the right paint it can actually make it spill resistant. So you get showroom quality with added practicality!

The most crucial part of painting your garage floor, is the preparation! It happens to be the easiest part to underestimate. Make sure you remove and equipment or extra storage containers that are laying around your garage. Prepare the floor by sweeping dust and derbies from all the crack and crevasse. Once you are finished, hose off the floor to insure that you will create a smooth surface for your paint job. Let it dry overnight so you aren’t working with damp concrete.

You will most likely see a lot of options for garage floor paints when you go to your local hardware store. Don’t be overwhelmed. We have found that epoxy is the best choice to go with. (You can always consult one of the representatives that work there if you get lost) Choose the best fit for your home, and something that won’t go out of style over time.

Choose a day with nice weather, around 50 to 80 degrees outside, and then paint away. You should be left with a beautiful showroom quality garage floor!

We are a garage door company that services the Phoenix area, and happily provides our customers with quality repairs at affordable repairs. While you may be able to diagnose the problem your garage door is experiencing, we don’t recommend trying to repair it by yourself. The garage door issues you may be experiencing can vary from, unaligned censors, broken garage door springs, and off track garage doors. Each issue is equally important for making sure your garage door works properly.

There are some great garage DIY projects that you can do to enhance the appearance of your garage door without causing major damage. Purely from a safety standpoint, we do not encourage any garage door repairs be done as a DIY project.

First, you are putting yourself in the potential of harms way. A garage door is a large machine operated piece of equipment that is unforgiving to those who do not have the professional education to repair them. Besides the sole reason of safety, the second you should leave your garage door repairs to us as professionals, is the potential of causing more damage to your garage door. Garage Door Insulation

Keep Your House Cool

Even though it’s technically still spring, let’s be honest, we live in Arizona. It is getting hot, quick. People are starting to close their windows, doors, and turning their A/Cs on. With the electric bills being so high during the spring and summer seasons, don’t you want to keep your house as cool as possible?

One of the most important things homeowners can do to save energy and to diminish the worry of heating and cooling costs is to insulate their homes. Even when you have the most energy efficient heating and cooling system and windows, the home’s largest opening is the garage door. The garage door opening is the most used door of your home—and hence, it’s the largest energy drain.

7 out of 10 homeowners rely on the garage door as their primary entrance.”
– LiftMaster

Insulated doors offer significant benefits to those of us whose garages are attached to our homes. The insulation in your home’s walls reduces the flow of heat into the garage, and the insulation in your garage door further limits the transmission of heat into your house. If your garage door is not insulated, that’s just one less barrier to the heating or cooling efficiency of your home, and one less dollar in your wallet! Even if your garage door is insulated, if you don’t have the proper seal on the garage door, you may be still losing heat or cold. The most common garage door seals are the bottom seal, threshold seal and weather stripping. To get the best and proper seal on your garage door is a very delicate process, leave this to the professionals.

“My Garage Door Won’t Open”

The phrase we hear most often is, “My garage door won’t close!” When your garage door stops working, it never comes at a convenient time and it is always frustrating. We want to be the source of relief in your life by helping you troubleshoot the problem. Before you start yelling at your garage door, and before you ram your car through it, let us help!

1} Lock-out Button

The first thing we encourage our customers to do, is to double check the lock button on the opener on their wall. Sometimes this button can accidentally be pushed causing your garage door to be locked and unable to open.

2} Sensor Alignment

Another reason your garage door may not be opening and closing is because of unaligned garage door sensors. The sensors are located at the front part of your garage door towards the bottom. These can get bumped/moved by items in your garage, but don’t worry, it’s an easy fix! If you try aligning the sensor yourself and it still doesn’t work, give us a call immediately. We can send one of our technicians to help resolve the issue.
