Arizona’s hunger rates are a harsh reality for many as one in four children are left without enough food to eat. More than two million Arizonians use a food bank. In a 2012 study, Feeding America found that more than 40% of the households receiving emergency food assistance through their local food bank, have at least one working adult. Overall, the poverty rates in Arizona are higher than national averages.
In light of these statistics, Arizona Garage Door and Repair is offering a free service call, with every non-perishable food donation made to St. Mary’s Food Bank Association because no one should go hungry. You will find food drive boxes set up at our Phoenix location. You can also donate directly to one of our technicians; just be sure to mention this special when making your appointment.
